A licensed cultivator is a company that has been granted a license by Health Canada to grow, package and sell cannabis to medical patients.
A cannabis clinic such as CCC provides access to medical professionals who will assess and authorize a patient to purchase cannabis from a licensed cultivator, as well as offering education and support on how to use cannabis as medication. There is no cannabis on-site at CCC clinics.
Dispensaries sell cannabis usually for recreational purposes. This cannabis is not tested by a third-party laboratory for THC/CBD levels, pesticides, heavy metals or mold. Under the Cannabis Act, dispensaries are illegal.
